A naming ceremony can be for anyone at any age: the arrival of your precious bundle of joy, uniting of step or adopted children within a family, or an adult name change are all wonderful reasons to hold a naming ceremony.

Naming ceremonies welcome your bubba, officially introduce him/her to family and friends and recognise the significant role family, extended family, friends and the community play in raising this child.

It’s also an opportunity for parents and other significant people to declare their promises of love and support to the child, before family and friends.

I have many suggestions of what you can include in your naming ceremony to make it super special and I’ll happily guide you through the process in order to create the perfect ceremony for you :)

Things to consider:

  • The involvement of significant people- parents, grandparents, god/guideparents, siblings etc. in the ceremony.

  • The inclusion of stories, readings/poems, blessings and/or rituals. Each of these can offer you a gateway to expressing your feelings whilst adding meaning to the celebration.

I also present parents and other special people who are involved in the ceremony with beautifully designed certificates as a keepsake of their celebration at NO EXTRA COST!

Thanks again for all that you did to help make Zeph’s naming ceremony such a wonderful and unique experience for us. Your friendly personality and ability to make myself, Luke and Zeph feel so comfortable with you makes you an amazing celebrant. We had so many comments on what a lovely ceremony it was.
